We are very blessed to have a new member of our family, Nickolas, who is fifteen months old and from Russia. We are very grateful to Adoption Ark and the professional staff in the United States who helped us through the entire process and the end result is a very healthy son who has a wonderful personality. Nickolas is a perfect fit into our family and even looks like he is our biological child. Ross, our nine year old biological son, loves his new brother and plays with him as much as he can.
We started our adoption journey in November, 2004 when we began to prepare a home study and a dossier for an adoption in Ukraine which is still open. In February while cruising the internet, we found Adoption Ark and after discussing our situation with Dina at Adoption Ark, we decided to change to a Russian adoption. We very quickly prepared a new dossier for Russia.
Four of us traveled to Russia including my mother-in-law and our nine year old son. We were met by the representative of Adoption Ark in Russia. With his help, we met our future son Nickolas.
Our second trip came in August and It was a smooth process. We spent a week in the region and a week in Moscow. Both cities are beautiful and we enjoyed touring and discovering a lot of Russian history. The process was very interesting going through the Russian court system and our visits to the U.S. Embassy in Moscow.
We are now back for over a month. Nickolas has blossomed. He is making new advances every day. He is turned from a tiny little boy in the orphanage to a robust boy who is almost walking and whose motor skills are improving continuously. He is a cute little boy who adds a lot of enjoyment to our family. We recommend Adoption Ark to anyone who would like a successful adoption in the least amount of time. The U.S. staff was always polite and prompt at returning our telephone calls and answering our questions. We couldn’t be happier with our new beautiful son.
